Our Australian Brush Box Honey is pale yellow to warm amber, with a smooth, aromatic flavour built around a hint of citrus and a spice character that’s hard to pin down at first taste; think a little Sambuca, liquorice or Chinese five spice, without being sharp or peppery.
It’s perfect for you if you’re after something a bit different: a honey with a warm, layered flavour that rewards a slow taste on the spoon.

The sweet facts
The trees that produce the flowers and nectar are commonly known as Brush Box, and it’s from these that our bees and we produce our Australian Brush Box honey.
The scientific facts
The trees’ scientific name is Lophostemon confertus. It’s a close relative of the eucalypts, in the myrtle family, and is named for its tall, straight growth and distinctive rough, flaky bark on the lower trunk that gives way to smooth bark higher up.
