Brush Up on the Flavour of Australian Brush Box Honey, It’s Back!
Brush Box honey is our latest 2026 harvest and it’s now available at the markets and online in 1kg tubs. For most of our customers, this will be the first time you’ve ever seen it from us; we haven’t had it for years.
That’s just how Brush Box works. It doesn’t flower reliably every year, so when nature delivers, we make the most of it. This season it delivered, and we’re very glad it did.

Donna and the team at Snap Port Macquarie designed the new label, matching it beautifully to our other special harvest labels; Yellow Box, Bloodwood, Ironbark and Stringybark. Welcome back to the family, Brush Box!
So what does Brush Box honey taste like?
It’s a pale yellow to warm amber colour, and the flavour is genuinely tricky to describe. There’s a citrus note, but also something smooth and aromatic underneath; a warmth that some people compare to Sambuca, liquorice, or Chinese five spice. Not sharp, not peppery, just interesting in a way that’s hard to pin down until you try it.
